Welcome to our Christmas newsletter, which contains information on what's new within Elemental Creative, industry news and useful links.
2005 has been a very busy year for Elemental Creative, with new staff, new clients, as well as a new office- and not to mention lots of tradeshows, trade missions, and events- lets hope 2006 is even better!

WCAG 2.0 and ATAG 2.0 Working Drafts
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (
WCAG) Working Group has released Working Drafts of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and HTML Techniques for
WCAG 2.0 and a First Public Working Draft of Understanding
WCAG 2.0. Following
WCAG makes Web content more accessible to the vast majority of users, including people with disabilities and older users, using many different devices including a wide variety of assistive technology.
The Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines Working Group has released a Working Draft of Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 incorporating Last Call comments. The guidelines are written to help developers create accessible authoring interfaces that produce accessible Web content. Resulting content can be read by a broader range of readers including those with disabilities.

Europeans to spend more on purchasing online this Christmas
According to a recent survey, Europeans plan to do almost 20% more of their shopping online this Christmas season, compared to last year. The increase in online shopping is attributed predominantly to convenience and time saved while purchasing on the internet, as well as the competitive online prices and the absence of crowds. The research found that :
. 20% expected increase in online Christmas shopping . 56% of Europeans to shop online this Christmas . 100% increase in number of consumers doing at least half of their shopping online

Online on the Rise in Europe
Total media consumption increased throughout Europe in the past year; the Internet made the highest gains. A survey conducted by SPA and Synovate for the European Interactive Advertising Association reports a 17 percent increase in Internet usage over last year..
