What Manual Usability Testing Assesses

Our manual usability testing services will assess:

• How information is accessed;
• How the home page performs;
• How well the homepage conveys the company message;
• How the company conveys itself in terms of the language used;
• How the company ethos is conveyed;
• What methods are used within to gather customer feedback;
• How the user is guided through;
• Whether controls have been put in place to ensure that the user does not make mistakes;
• How in control users feel.
• Do the web site or application force users into doing something they don't necessarily want to?

In addition to on-page checks we conduct cognitive walk-throughs, whereby we act out common tasks and evaluate how well the website supports these tasks.

Our team of expert usability consultants will assess a site against a total of 15 individual heuristics or guidelines.

Following the completion of the manual usability testing, we will provide you with a full 'easy to read' report that provides information on our findings, both positive and negative, and provides recommendations to help you achieve compliance to the usability testing principles and codes of Internet practice set out by Jakob Nielsen and Jared Spool.

Ongoing Usability Testing Check Ups

When recommendations from our usability testing services has been implemented, we will perform a website check up to ensure that the recommendations have been effectively followed.

As part of our extensive usability testing services, Elemental Creative will performed bi-yearly check ups of the website/online application. This is done to ensure the website remains usable and compliant to industry standards and user experience.
